SINGAPORE, 7 DECEMBER 2016: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce the next FAS Grassroots Coaching Course is now open for registration. Those who have a passion for children’s football coaching are invited to sign up for the upcoming course, which will take place over two weekends next month – 14 & 15, and 21 & 22 January 2017. Registration closes on 20 December 2016, and spaces are limited.

SINGAPORE, 4 DECEMBER 2016: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Women’s Challenge Cup 2016 concluded this evening with Warriors FC defeating Woodlands Wellington FC 2-0 to emerge as champions. Sitianiwati Rosielin scored in the 87th and 89th minutes to clinch the Cup for her team. The final was played at the National Stadium for the first time thanks to a partnership with Singapore Sports Hub.

SINGAPORE, 22 NOVEMBER 2016: Queensway Secondary School (Secondary Schools ‘C’ Division category) and Loyang Primary School (Primary Schools Junior Division and Senior Division categories) dazzled their opponents to emerge champions of the second edition of the H-TWO-O Ultimate Challenge Cup. This came after two consecutive days of intense but friendly competition at Jalan Besar Stadium.

SINGAPORE, 21 NOVEMBER 2016: Home United FC’s Prime League team was crowned champions of the Singapore Pools FA Cup 2016 after defeating Siglap FC 3-1 at Jalan Besar Stadium yesterday. Amir Zalani scored a brace in the 14th minute and the 58th minute, and Ambroise Begue secured their win with a goal in the 82nd minute before Siglap scored a consolation through Guntur Djafril in the 89th minute.

SINGAPORE, 18 NOVEMBER 2016: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce that a FIFA Instructor Sam Schweingruber will be conducting the FIFA Grassroots Workshop from 23–26 November 2016 for 37 coaches from the FAS Cubs Grassroots programme, S.League clubs’ children’s programmes, ActiveSG Football Academy, and former and current national players. The Workshop will then conclude with the Grassroots Festival on 27 November 2016.

SINGAPORE, 29 OCTOBER 2016: Albirex Niigata FC (S) were crowned RHB Singapore Cup champions tonight, after defeating Tampines Rovers FC 2-0 at Jalan Besar Stadium in front of 4928 fans. Atsushi Kawata opened the scoring in the 28th minute, before Kento Nagasaki secured the result with Albirex’s second goal in the 87th minute.

SINGAPORE, 26 OCTOBER 2016: Albirex Niigata FC (S) were tonight officially crowned 2016 Great Eastern-Yeo’s S.League champions at Jalan Besar Stadium, after the final match of the league season – coincidentally against league runners-up and their RHB Singapore Cup Final opponents Tampines Rovers FC. The match ended 5-1 in favour of the Stags.
