SINGAPORE, 11 MARCH 2017: As part of the Football Association of Singapore’s (FAS) continuing efforts to further develop women’s football in Singapore, it today announced that the Women’s National Team will be playing a friendly against Hong Kong, while the Under-16 Women’s National Team will have a training camp in Chonburi, Thailand from 13 – 17 March respectively.

SINGAPORE, 9 MARCH 2017: The S.League and Prime League fixtures have been updated. Changes have been made to several matches – please see below for details of the changes. The S.League match between Warriors FC and Geylang International FC taking place on 10 March will now be played at Choa Chu Kang Stadium, instead of Jalan Besar Stadium.

SINGAPORE, 8 MARCH 2017: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today announced that the inaugural season of the Women’s National League (WNL) will be kicking off on Saturday 11 March 2017. Arion Football Academy B and GDT Circuit FC will be playing in the first match of the season at Queenstown Stadium. The WNL season will conclude on Sunday 21 May, with three fixtures scheduled for that day.

SINGAPORE, 5 MARCH 2017: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today launched the new FAS Women’s Football logo at the third annual Women’s Football Day at Kallang Field (former Cricket Ground). Ms Sun Xueling, Member of Parliament (MP) for Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency, was Guest of Honour at the event held in conjunction with International Women’s Day – which falls on 8 March.

The match will kick off at 3.00pm local time (7.00pm Singapore time).

SINGAPORE, 26 FEBRUARY 2017: Albirex Niigata FC (S) won the first-ever S.League match to be held at the Singapore Sports Hub this evening when it beat Tampines Rovers FC 2-1 to lift the Great Eastern Community Shield at the National Stadium in front of 15,480 raucous fans.

SINGAPORE, 24 FEBRUARY 2017: The Garena Young Lions (GYL) squad for the 2017 Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League season was officially unveiled today along with the team’s new kit at the Jalan Besar Stadium. A partnership with Singapore Cancer Society was also announced, where half of the gross ticket proceeds from GYL’s S.League 2017 home matches will be donated to the Society.

SINGAPORE, 19 FEBRUARY 2017: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today announced that the Singapore Schools Sports Council (SSSC)/ FAS National Inter-School Football Championship ‘B’ Division Girls 2017 will be held from 20 February to 27 March, and will be contested by 12 schools. Meridian, Bukit Merah and Dunman Secondary Schools will be participating in the Championships for the first time.

The triangular will be held from 16-18 February 2017 at Jalan Besar Stadium, and all matches will kick off at 7.30pm.

SINGAPORE, 7 FEBRUARY 2017: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and the S.League are pleased to announce that Great Eastern has extended its co-title sponsorship of Singapore’s only professional sports league for another two years, bringing the partnership to a decade. To celebrate Singapore football and involve the wider community, the season-opening Great Eastern Community Shield will be played at the Singapore Sports Hub, making it the first S.League match to be played at the iconic venue. Albirex Niigata FC (S) will face Tampines Rovers FC on Sunday 26 February 2017 at 6.00pm. Tickets for the match will go on sale from 9.00am on Wednesday 8 February.

SINGAPORE, 3 FEBRUARY 2017: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today announced that registration for the Premier Skills Community Coaching Course, which will be held from 23-26 February 2017 at Jalan Besar Stadium, is now open. Targeted at those who have little or no experience in coaching but would like to get involved in football and coaching, it will be conducted from 8.45am to 5.00pm daily.

SINGAPORE, 23 JANUARY 2017: Singapore will take on Bahrain, Turkmenistan and Chinese Taipei in Group E in the Final Round of the 2019 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup Qualifiers. The Lions will begin the bid to qualify for the tournament on 28 March against Bahrain.

SINGAPORE, 11 JANUARY 2017: Two FIFA “Live Your Goals” (LYG) Centres, at Bowen Secondary and Queensway Secondary Schools, will kick-start their 2017 programmes with LYG Centre Festivals on 15 January and 4 February respectively. The festivals, which will be free and open to the public, will feature a mini-tournament where girls will be grouped into teams to play small-sided games.
