The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce the squad list of the National Under-21 team that will be representing Singapore in the Thanh Nien Under-21 International Football Tournament 2013. The tournament will run from 10 to 23 October 2013 in Ninh Thuan, Vietnam. The team will compete against Under-21 teams from Sydney FC, Vietnam, Myanmar and Malaysia. Singapore will play their first match against Sydney FC Under-21 on Sunday, 13 October 2013.

A delegation from FFF led by its Vice President, Mr Bernard Desumer, represented FFF in this momentous signing ceremony with Mr Zainudin Nordin representing FAS.

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) held its 31st Annual General Meeting earlier this evening at the Jalan Besar Stadium with its Council members, sponsors and club representatives in attendance. The meeting commenced with a video presentation which showcased the various landmarks and milestones achieved during the Financial Year 2012, including the National Team’s success at the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup 2012. In his opening address, FAS President Zainudin Nordin noted that Singapore football has progressed well during the past financial year. “Apart from the National Team, we have also achieved progress and success in various aspects, including youth development, coaching and refereeing, among others,” he said. Several leading football officials who had visited Singapore during the past year singled out FAS’ footballing programmes for praise, and also added that the on-going implementation of the FAS Strategic Plan has yielded positive results including the development of our youth players.

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce the squad list of the National Football Academy (NFA) Under-15 team that will be representing Singapore in the 2014 AFC U-16 Championship Qualifier (East Zone). The tournament will run from 21 to 29 September 2013 in Hong Kong. The team is in Group G, together with Australia, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei and Macau. There are a total of 43 nations divided into 10 groups participating in this tournament. The 10 group winners and best 5 second placed teams from all groups will qualify for the finals to be played in Thailand next year. Singapore will play their first match against Hong Kong on Saturday, 21 September 2013.

SINGAPORE, 4 September 2013: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce the 22-man squad who will represent Singapore in the Merdeka Tournament, to be held from September 7 – 14 at the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan, Pahang. The National Under-23 team from Singapore will face teams from Thailand, Myanmar and Malaysia in the 41st edition of the tournament. Most of the players who have been called up for this tournament had played in the recent international friendlies against the Under-23 teams of Philippines and Indonesia.

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce that the Women’s National Team is embarking on a training tour to Bangkok from 3 to 8 September 2013. The team left for Bangkok yesterday morning. Fifty-five players were part of the team which started their preparations for the training tour in July 2013 after the end of the 2013 Women’s Premier League season, before the travelling squad was trimmed to 21 players. Preparations include weekly training sessions at the Millennia Institute as well as friendly matches with various teams such as the NUS Girls Team and the Millenia Institute Boys team.

Epson, one of the world's largest manufacturers of computer printers and projectors, today announced a three-year sponsorship worth $1 million with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS). The partnership was launched at the Jalan Besar Stadium today, with FAS President, Mr Zainudin Nordin, General Secretary of FAS, Mr Winston Lee, Managing Director of Epson Singapore, Mr Koichi Endo, General Manager of Epson Singapore, Ms Tan May Lin, and several national players in attendance. The agreement, which starts immediately, sees Epson supply FAS with its imaging and printing equipment throughout all of FAS’ training facilities, including the Jalan Besar Stadium. This includes two recently installed, large display projectors at the Jalan Besar Stadium to enhance the match-day experience for football fans.
