SINGAPORE, 11 JUNE 2013: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce that ticket sales for the international friendly match between Singapore U23 and Philippines U23 on Thursday, 13 June 2013, 7.45pm at Hougang Stadium will commence tomorrow, 12 June 2013 at 12 noon.

Founder and Group CEO of Garena, Mr Forrest Li, paid his first visit to a Garena Young Lions training session earlier this evening. Prior to the start of the training, Mr Li addressed the young team for the first time since Garena was unveiled as the new main sponsor of the Young Lions. The players and staff listened attentively to Mr Li, who was accompanied by Mr Lim Kia Tong, Vice President FAS and Mr Winston Lee, General Secretary FAS.

FAS and Garena in sponsorship deal worth up to S$4 million for Young Lions

SINGAPORE (02 February 2016) – Garena, Southeast Asia’s largest Internet and mobile platform company,and the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today announced a two-year sponsorship deal worth up to S$4 million for the Young Lions.  Under the deal, Garena will provide S$2 million in cash sponsorship to the Young Lions and a programme budget of up to S$2 million for the promotion and development of the team.

Singapore Under-23s (U23) Head Coach Aide Iskandar announced his resignation after the Young Lions bowed out of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games with a loss against Indonesia U23.

Evan Dimas scored the only goal in the game, which sent his team through at the host’s expense.

Singapore Under-23s Head Coach Aide Iskandar knows the stakes are high for his side in their final 2015 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Group A match on 11 June against Indonesia.

This encounter will determine who joins Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar in the semi-finals.

Both sides have six points from three matches, but Indonesia currently occupy second spot in the group as they have the superior goal difference.

Three goals helped the Singapore Under-23s dispatch their Cambodian counterparts 3-1 in their third SEA Games Group A match.

Safirul Sulaiman and Faris Ramli struck late in the first-half, before Sahil Suhaimi netted another a minute before the end of the game. Cambodia on the other hand, scored a consolation through Chan Vathanaka.
